In this article, we would like to clarify what is milled rice and the advantages and disadvantages of milled rice.
Milled rice is a product of processing
Some consumers and a few rice sellers do not have the right information, mistakenly saying brown rice or milled rice is a certain type of rice but it is not, this is just post-harvest processing. Any rice variety can be processed into peeling and rubbing.
"UNDERMILLED RICE" = "UNDERMILLED RICE" or also known as "RUBBED RICE" is a type of rice that is only lightly rubbed and retains a small amount of bran on the surface of the grain endosperm. Depending on each unit requiring different rubbing ratios, the bran layer retained is also different.

Rice milled according to Ong Tho Rice standards:
With Ong Tho Rice: it is required to only need to scrub <25% of the bran layer, but this first batch the technicians did not polish it to the desired level. The second phase will continue to adjust to reach the desired index and bring products that are still nutritious, easy to eat, and especially easy to preserve and convenient to buy for consumers and sellers.
In addition, milled rice processed according to Ong Tho Rice standards will have the advantage of being as easy to eat as white rice and the nutritional content is not much less than brown rice but has a huge disadvantage that it is difficult to preserve because of the LAYER. EXTERNAL BANG DUST VERY QUICKLY ABSORBES MOISTURE AND IS INFECTED WITH MOLD AND MICROBIOLOGICAL FUNGUS, which is dangerous for users. After careful research and discussion with the technicians, Ong Tho Rice, after scrubbing, cleaned the bran dust from the outside and vacuumed it to prevent mold from arising.

Ong Tho Rice's "RUBBED RICE" is carefully controlled from:
- Residue control farming process
- Pre-harvest rice quality assessment process (This type of rice is not harvested according to common standards like white rice)
- The rubbing process ensures ease of use but also retains many nutrients from the bran layer
- Packaging and preservation processes prevent negative impacts from the environment.

Hopefully this product, along with a price suitable for Vietnamese people's income, will help Vietnamese families have more delicious, nutritious, and safe rice options.
